I have a Tatula & it has been a fine reel. I actually prefer round reels but that Tatula has been such a good reel I find myself picking it up regularly. I'll take it with me to Sturgeon Bay next month. Good luck.
I have both and the only real difference is the diawa Fuego CT only has 5BB's and no T-Wing System level wind on it but the Tatula does, and it has 7 BB's which is no big deal because both work great. When it comes down to the T-wing system and getting more casting distance, I have never Sean it, and that goes for pitching and flipping.
I'm a round reel guy too but have two low profile reels. Both on light rods, on UL, and spooled with 4# mono. The Daiwa reel is very nice and if I were to go out and get another most that would matter to me is if it looked good, felt good and wasn't to expensive. Daiwa has earned a good reputation and I would trust that. My other on is a Kastking that is the least expensive one they have. Set up like the Daiwa it's on the UL rod. Took it bass fishing last Tuesday and it did well but a few over runs. Using 1/8os jig on a small single spin. I have one other Daiwa casting reel, a Millionaire and can't say enough good about it. Yep, Daiwa earned their Reputation!
If your having trouble deciding which one, close your eye's and have someone mix them up and pick one!
Tatula hands down. I have several and 100 % recommend them. At their price point, you won’t be disappointed
I have a Tatula and love it. Going to get 1 or 2 or 3 more.
