What's your most beloved/convinient fishing tool?

Hey guys,
I've recently moved and thought this might be the right time to purchase some fresh equipment. What is something neat that made your fishing experience better?
For me, a quality fishing jacket with a bunch of extra pockets was a revelation, haha. I used to carry a small bag with me all the time, but the jacket made everything so much more comfortable.

Lanyard.
Having my nippers and some hemo’s on one around my neck saving me from having to dig into my tackle bag every time I need to reach into a mouth for a hook, or trim a tag end. I seriously wish I started doing that 30 years ago.

"bait board" - a simple 4" X 6" piece of wood. As a surf fisherman need to cut bait (squid, bunker) or remove & cut clams.
