Right now hit the Snake. I did. Lots of cats, bass and rainbow trout. A fish nearly every cast from daylight till after dark 👍.
Ok thank you for your help.
Brownlee Resivour near Huntington. Best in Oregon!
Hi neighbor, I live in Halfway. It is about 40 mins from Baker City. 15 mins from here are three reservoirs Brownlee, Oxbow and Hells Canyon. All three are great fisheries they contain many species of warm water fish , mostly smallmouth bass , crappie and catfish. There are also many high mountain lakes that have trouts and are stocked regularly. At the base of Hells canyon dam you can catch both steelhead and salmon. This area is a fishers paradise . Bass fishing is best with a boat . Most other species can easily caught from shore. Welcome to Eastern Oregon, You may want to consider archery and bow hunting as another sport to try , we have a great elk population as well as deer , prong horn antelope, bear etc.

That bridge below Brownlee dam is a great place for some nice catfish and I’ve caught lots of crappie there too. All good in the areas you mentioned.👍

Just read up on some of the warnings about the lakes in your region to do with Mercury etc. just a heads up.
WE do have a few with mercury but not many of the hundreds we have that are safe
Ok I will look up mercury concerns. Thank you
