If they was biting before n after all i can say is. Be there for the incoming n outgoing tide. The fish will follow the tide. Check tide charts.

Grizzly has a good point there. If your getting there right at high or low tide. The bite might be off because no current flow. I have an app called Tides Near Me. Can get the tides anywhere. Good luck Howard. What are you fishing for?
anything that bites. I'm on my family vac.

Get to where the waves are breaking and use dead shrimp on the botton. Hope that will help you out. Gordon
I use to OBX often. Got to know some locals. Nice people always willing to share info. Thanks to two good boys i quit buying bloodworms n just used nightcrawlers. Banks have changed alot since i 1st started going down there. I liked Jeannette's pier then. Over around Manteo causeway produced fairly well. Oregon inlet was decent. If you decide to fish places other than piers.
tks ...any help is welcome
going to try the old bridge ..changed to a fishing pier.

Ryan will hook you up.
Cut mullet, shrimp, squid, and fish gum/bytes are all good possibilities for off the piers.
Small crabs by the pilings for sheepshead.

Good choice. BTW use nice fresh shrimp for bait. That way, the fish don't bite you still have dinner. Just keep em on ice.
