Thank you, I will.
If you're in Colebrook, you'll be
right on the upper Connecticut
River - check the regs before going out, as some stretches of the river have special rules for fly-fishing !
In Pittsburg (just north of you), you have Lake Francis, Back Lake, and First, Second and Third Connecticut Lakes ! Just a little E/NE of
Colebrook (in Stewartstown), you
have Coleman State Park, which contains Big and Little Diamond Ponds; both hold trout, and I believe that Big Diamond may have 'lakers' and landlocked salmon !
If you don't have a boat, several
of these lakes have rentals ! If you
check the Fish & Game website,
you should find depth maps for
all of these lakes, and each map should include the fish species to
be found in that pond/lake !
If you take Rt. 26-East to Errol (about 30 minutes), you just turn right onto Rt. 16 and follow it south - it runs close to the Androscoggin River for about 20/25 miles to Milan, where there are other trout ponds nearby ! The river has rainbows, brookies, browns, salmon, plus LM and
SM bass ! Hope this helps !
Good luck, and tight lines !
