Brangus; I am not a fly fisherman, but with a spinning outfit, you might find using a bobble float and trail a fly or small spoon. That seems to be a tried and true way for folks in fly fishing water but have a spinning outfit.

Now if you are fully equipped with spinning lures, a mepps spoon, or similar would be useful. All of my fishing experience has not included fishing in shallow, swift clear streams. If there are deep pools, perhaps a plastic worm fished in some fashion for bass. You will have to experiment with different approaches.

Hopefully, there will be others more experienced in this type of fishing to chime in. Just Sayin....RJS
