I know the salt water ones are and the smaller ones taste the best unfortunately they have to be between 28 and 38 inches to keep them still pretty good eating

Hey Henry, even the Saltwater Stripers on the West coast were stocked, from East coast fish. They're not natural in the Pacific. They were brought by train, from the East coast in the early 20th century. Google it, it's an interesting story.

some small Stripers from the lake and then used them to catch the cats

In Texas, game fish (like striper) cannot be used for bait and if caught in a cast net must be put back in the lake.

Maybe the game Dept is like Washington. Not very bright. Why can I not fish for steelhead from a boat. Have to be on shore. But the natives and commercial fishing use nets πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”
