First time fishing these waters. What’s the best bait and fish to fish for from the banks?

I catch alot of cats , bluegill , sunfish , white and yellow perch, stripers. , snake head and large mouth bass. All here in middle river at Wilson point. Then occasionally a spot or croaker . really depends on what your hunting for snakes bass blue gill I use artificial lures and some live bait. The rest I use cut bait , worms or whatever for that day.best Best thing is to go to local bait shop and ask questions.

Depends on what you after.
Smaller fish, Shrimp, razor clams, Night Crawlers, or if your wallet can afford it Blood Worms.
Bigger fish, Bunker (Elweih, spelling), crabs, soft or peelers, Spot.

Frozen Spot should be at Cobe Marine Supplies now. They are in Pasadena on Fort Smallwood Road, at the junction of Hogs Neck Road. That and Bunker aare $5.00 and 50 Cents tax each. Hope that helps.
