Does any one use Co-Polymer line? Does it have the same coil/memory issues as Flourocarbon line? Any advantages or negatives about this product line? Thanks Garry

Hi Gary. I got my 1st copolymer line nearly 20yrs ago. Bass pro had a clearance on this brand. Like $2.50 per spool. I bought alot of it. Used alot of it. Then along came braid n floro. I still use it some. For me silver thread was tough as nails. The perfect blend between mono n floro. I don't know about new copolymer but i do like how silver thread handles. Ck reviews on new stuff. I saw some goood n bad reviews. Give it a try i think you'll like it ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ

Grisly 17. Thank you for your infomative response. I will do more research and maybe try a spool. My experience with Fourocarbon has been memory, memory and more memory. Thanks again, Garry

Robert J: I am starting to agree with youon the Braid/Flourocarbon combination. No one has responded with any solid reason to use co/poolymer or flourcarbon as the main line, Mang have sugessted its quality as a leader.
Thanks for your input. garry

I use McCoy Mean Green line and I love it. While most of my rigs are braid to flouro, the Mean Green is used on both spinning and bait casting. It does not have the memory of mono nor flouro. I mainly use 12# or 8# and both cast well. I do use โ€œReel Magicโ€ on occasion. I love this line because it is low memory and good abrasion resistance. You can find it on Tackle Warehouse. Bass Pro Shop doesnโ€™t carry it.

I've been using 20# Suffix titanium on my surf heavers for about 20 years. The abrasion resistance is good and memory hasn't been an issue at all. I just buy a 5k yard spool and respool as needed. One thing, if you hang up or work a very big fish, you can get some permanent stretch. If you see little wiggles in slack line, cut it off and replace.

Thank you for your response. I found it very helpful...Others have recommened the Suffix Titanium so it nust be very good. I amgoing to purchase a spool and give it a go. Really like the fact that "memory hasn't been an issue at all"
Thanks again. Garry

Just remember about the stretch. Once you get the little ripples in the line it will give you a biblical bird nest. And BTW thank you for taking the time to let me know you liked the idea. It doesn't always happen.

I have been using copolymer line for 20 years, I use it on my ultra lights and my heavy bass rods I absolutely love i, itโ€™s superstrong but it does have a memory but I control the memory with a good line conditioner and I try to straighten my line as much as possible. I find it to be abrasive resistant and easy to work with. I use P line it seems to be the best for me and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks and good luck.

Arron. My 1st experience with copolymer was silver thread. I really like it very strong. I don't think they make it anymore. I also use pline it's just like you said. I got into floro now I've respooled a couple with co. It's a great blend. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
