I hear ya! It’s been tough down here. Been shore fishing and have had a little luck but nothing worth taking pictures of. Just got a fishing kayak and hope it improves my thing ability. Waiting for the trolling motor to ship.
Our home owner’s assoc. stocks tilapia in some of the lakes here, ostensibly to keep the lakes clean. I have a feeling they may be eating eggs in their efforts. We’ll see!
Don’t give up!

Did you have fun? That’s all that counts. Henry Thereau said most men who go fishing don’t realize that they are not ding so to catch fish. A true statement. It’s the experience. The time away from everything else. The greater peace.
He also famously said that 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish.

No one was born with a fishing rod in their hand. We all have to learn or be taught how to fish. My suggestion would be to go to your local bait and tackle shop and discuss your issues with them. Most shop will give you good advice as they will want to make you a customer. Don't Give Up...reach out and get help. Garry
Welcome to my nightmare :) As "they" say a bad day of fishing beats a good day of work but then again you need a reason to come back. I've been fishing a LONG LONG time and inconsistency, aka frustration, is a big part of the sport for me.
Hope your luck improves !!!
Well, maybe the thing that snapped your 10# line in 3 seconds ate all of the other fish, except the tiny ones that got away in that lake ( pond ) ??
I seem to remember a story of two men in a boat fishing all night and had not caught anything.
A friend came along and told them to fish on the other side of the boat.
They caught so many fish, the boat was almost over loaded.
Get yourself a chum bag and sink a can of sardines cracked open or a can of perforated frozen dog food. Anything to act as an attractant. Tie off your bag to withstand a turtle attack.
