Relatively new at freshwater fishing, would like advice on where to catch fish in Canandaigua Lake by canoe. Not only tips on where but also how.

Hey Daniel, welcome! Try the south end of the lake, Woodville area. Good luck!
That's where usually launch, I haven't seen any fish. What's the best time of the day? Also what weight should the line be and what type of rig? This looks like it's only a few feet deep

Generally, best time of day for me is in the early evening before sunset. They say sunrise is also a good time but I never get out that early, lol. Try weightless Texas rigged Senkos, green pumpkin with chartreuse tip. You can find them at Runnings in Canandaigua, and YouTube has many videos re: how to rig and fish them. 😁
