I just replaced the water pump on my Honda 25hp outboard motor. Does anyone know if I have to readjust the gear shift rod and if so, how to do it.

Go to Marine Engines.com. They have parts drawings on line and you can order maintenance manuals. I have found them very helpful

My Yamaha 25 just make sure to set adjustment nut back close to where it was! Should see some discoloration where nut is not and shinny spot where nut was, reset there and check if engine is shifting right? Something on line community not sure of.
