Raccoons and other animals would love fresh carp make a big split in the fish so odor will travel and leave them like 20 yards from a creek or stream B gone in like 24 hours

Perhaps if you do not have a use for them, do not shoot them or if not that, catch them on hook and line so they can be released.

Have you considered cutting 1/2 x 6 inch strips from the side of the carp, freezing them and offering them for sale as super cat fish bait? If using cut carp is legal in your state, I think it would be long before there would be an active market for this as a quality catfish bait. I know it works! Just Sayin....RJS
