I feel for you bro, I don’t know yet what all is wrong with me other than my liver and blood disease, but fishing keeps me centered during the chase. I fish at least every other day without fail, and I have been tearing up the catfish in a medium creek. I keep what I can eat and release the rest. But I can assure you that fresh caught fish can’t be beaten for nutrients. Stay strong!!!!

I too have a serious operation next week. I wanted to go fishing, at least one more time before. So, I went on a twilight ocean trip. I had to have some help. But the crew was very willing to assist me. I took home some delicious rock fish and sand bass. I wish you well in your upcoming operation.

Carpenter- I also am a new fishingstage user and a Cancer Survivor, at diagnosis time I was to only live 1 1/2 years at Best. I had a very Aggressive Malignant Brain Tumor. June 14th this year it was 14 years. I would say think strongly before fishing alone. Especially if you’re taking treatments. I had Radiation and chemo. Extreme Fatigue was and still is hard to deal with. Not to count depression sometimes kicks in when you can’t do the things you’ve always done. After 12 yrs. of oral chemo I made the decision to stop chemo against my doctors wishes. My MRIs were good and I took that risk. Fishing if you are up to it will be a GREAT way to still enjoy and get your mind in a different direction. Just consider a fishing partner if you’re weak. Stay positive as possible! Faith in God has helped me through this journey. Blessings!
