Went fishing with my son yesterday, who had his own agenda. He wanted to be someplace else! I didn’t use anything special since we didn’t have a lot of time. I caught one small bluegill and a small perch, both on night crawlers. That’s what my son likes to use. At least I finally caught something after getting nothing for two weeks!!

Good for you two ! Don't know if you keep any fish for the table, but keep
in mind that yellow perch are mighty good eating and not too far behind their walleye 'cousins' for taste !
A mess of perch could produce a pretty decent fish-fry, and there are some decent-sized perch out there !
My biggest/best perch was so fat
that I could barely get my hand
around it ! It was about 14 inches
and weighed about a pound !

I do like to keep what I can. But that guy was just too small.
