I’m using a Ugly Stik GX2 combo and fishing in murky water. Do I need to buy a specific color?

Typically in murky water for most species it doesn't matter as much.
The more clear the water and more line sensitive the species, it does sometimes matter. - With some species it matters a great deal.
Braid (of any color) is becoming more and more the norm of the maim line, and if line sensitivity or fishing in clear water is a question, using a tied in fluorocarbon leader helps with both abrasion resistance and low visibility.
No, only between the ears.
If you think so, then change color.

Yes. You have to use red line for red drum and black line for black drum. Also green line for green sturgeon and white line for white sturgeon. It’s a scientific fact. For stripers you need black and white striped line. Lol 🥴
Hi-vis yellow for those yellow perch?
