Sounds simple and interesting. I bet even I could use this trick.

It works you would be amazed the worm floats off the bottom whatever height you put the sinker, split shot at and stays alive

Same thing I use.
Try putting an oil based scent in the needle. Worm still floats and you get a good scent trail through the water.

Yes but if it isn't oil based it won't float your worm. (Oil is lighter than water)

The important parts are using light line tied directly to hook and small hook. That small hook will hold a big bass. I caught a 4 pound bass with an ultralight on 4 pound line off standing on a boat dock. Aggravated the hell out of 2 guys in 20,000$ Ranger sitting 100 feet away slinging purple worms (which I admit have worked well for me also at times).

For sure. You could put any kind of scent in the worms. But in my own opinion I think only oil will be light enough to float it.

What about all that air your blowing in there isn't that the reason it floats to

Yes but I am saying if you replace the air with oil besides the sight value you get from the worm. You also get a scent trail with it .
Which in turn , I would assume would lead to more strikes . .
Keep in mind none of this was recorded in a mandatory setting . Just my own experiences.

That is exactly why it floats. Probably better to put a little of that "salmon egg oil" into the worm bedding container. The worm is natural, the scent may or may not attract but the natural worm will.

That is fine . Do it however you want. That is a good idea .. but just because you add the salmon egg scent to the worm . Doesn't mean you are taking the worm scent away just adding to it . And salmon egg is just an example it could be ctawdad. , Or anise or garlic.

Ya the whole idea with the worm blower is to pump air in the thing so it floats duh
