I feel Trisha's pain, but in time she will let it go to the point it still is in the back of her mind. Then something will spark it but don't let something like that control her life. Can't fix something that is permanently broken.

Amen. I believe time will help, this happened only a couple years back so its still fresh to her..

I agree, best to just be polite and go along with it. Anything less would seem like an escalation of things. And thats never a good thing. Forgiveness is what you should strive for. But if you just cant then be cordial and it will be over soon enough. We all have to deal with bad situations. How you deal wirh it makes you the man you are or strive to be!

Could it be that the pastor has had this on his mind and wants to clear the air as well? Just thinking

Ditto ! Two things I told my wife
when we first got married; the first was DO NOT EVER volunteer me for
anything, with anyone, without my prior knowledge and consent !

The second was NO SUPRISES ! Do not have or invite people at the
house that I'd rather avoid. AT
ANY TIME without giving me a
prior 'heads up' so that I can be
gone ! If I happen to have something planned at home for that evening, then either postpone and re-arrange your plans or go visit at THEIR house !

Both rules were broken ONCE ! After the sh*t-storm that followed each incident, neither was ever repeated !

Ditto ! Two things I told my wife br when we firs... (show quote)

Just after I married my second wife, we were in a Grocery store and ran into theis guy. He talked to me and I answered calmly to him. After he left she started out with, "You must be ashamed of me. you wont even introduce me to your Friends!"
"1) He's NOT a Friend."
"2) I don't want you to have to know him!'
Later on she found out from others that I was being really nice to her by NOT introducing her to him.
He was a Liar and also a thief. He was the brother of a friends' wife and they wouldn't talk with him either.

Sometimes we have to be the better person and think ahead there really is forgiveness but forgive yourself first because this has gone on to long I think you block your blessings by holding the situation for so long. I am sure God would forgive us if we wrong him so we have to watch what we say and do to others although it’s very hard sometimes but we have to forgive and make the best of life and be in position to receive our blessings I had my older brother have a car repo I had signed for and I had to trade that car which cost me 2K to get back plus my vehicle which was paid for we are very close now and through it all he gave his life to Christ and he’s a pastor now it was hard but I finally got over it and learn to not ever do that again for anyone never miss your blessings having a grudge against anyone because that person could be the door way to the blessings you have before God
