Anyone know where to cast net shiners or shad near Gainesville Florida
Lochloosa Lake had some. Newnans lake another large lake and Paynes Prairie Preserve has some lakes too like Levy Lake! Try using tiny hooks and little dough balls for golden shiners, we have them in all little lakes too!

Part of the Paynes Prairie Preserve. Williston Rd. or SR 121 south to SW Waccahoota Rd. right into the Preserve. Not sure about access points been decades since I was there but remember little creeks loaded with stump knockers! Lil bass that eat up small purple worms with bright curly tails! Mostly hunted around Lochloosa Lake 1980s
