How to catch fish in state ponds ,tried chicken,hotdogs redwiglers even used small bream for cut bait no luck is there any fish there hard to catch. Please let me know something.

“I wrote a book on catfishing "The Catfish Hunters". Check it on Amazon or www.booksbyjake.com. In my opinion cats will bite just about anything if they are hungry but there are three favorites. Channel cats like stink baits but will also hit live minnows. Flatheads like live bait but they tend to be bottom feeders and will take small minnows. Blue cats will take live minnows, cut shad, or chicken chunks soaked over night in garlic powder. It also depends on the type of water being fished but cats will take almost anything that has a little smell and favorable taste.”
