Casting light lures.
So I’m fairly new to fishing and have a couple questions. I have a lews American hero speed stick combo with 10lb mono. I’ve found I really love rebel lures like the crawdad, and the crick hopper, but I have problems casting the crickhopper a good distance and I feel like it’s because I’m using 10lb line.Would using 6lb or 8lb be better?
Edit: I’m using a spinning reel.

You may get a little more distance out of some lighter line. But your rod is probably just too stiff for lighter tackle.

Any recommendations? I also have gx2 4’8” ultra light.

I only use a baitcaster So I don’t have a lot of experience with light tackle. Try the youtubes

Those little Rebel lures are incredibly light and really want a L or UL rod and thin line.

Yes. Lighter line will make a big difference. Do the fish like the rebels as much as you do??
Smaller line would help some but you need to check the strength of the rod. Also you may be forcing the cast and killing the action on the rod.
