So I decided to skip work on Friday and head to Lake Amador. I had never been there before so I wanted to go during the week so I wouldn't have to fight a crowd. We were on the water by 6am trolling. By 7:30 we had caught one nice rainbow and one crappie. That was it for the day besides one more small rainbow but still beats a day at work! Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest.
Nice cd, thanks for posting and sharing. I really like Amador, but they tend to go a little overboard on their prices for launching and day use. Haven't been there in a while, is it still that way?

Yes $9 per person just to fish. $35 for truck, boat, and 2 people fishing.

I think the trout fishing would have been better a month or so ago but still beats working.

Nice work CD! I promise to be better about sharing guys. Perhaps it was the 5 pound bass I hooked but lost getting it into the at Lake Amador losses before I got a net on it! Lake Amador is a beautiful place, they had release over 1500 pound of trout near the day we were there. I am a budding bass fisherman so joined 2 good friends who are great bass fisherman and their boat. We caught about 13 bass that day, I kept 3, we released the others. We maybe missed 2 including my monster 5 pounder which, would have been te biggest bass I ever caught! Anyway, great time out. We fished all the nooks and crannies and were on the water from 6:30 am to 8 pm. Okay, I hooked on bass fishing now! Also fished for trout in between bass, never got a trout hook up. Agreed, a little on the expensive side to fish but a nice lake.

I'm the opposite. Used to live in Caldwell, ID, then moved here to Livermore, CA. East Bay lakes has fees for everything, even for fishing when you already have a fishing license. Oh well. I wish I was back in Idaho :-(
Lake Amador is nice! Been there a few times to fish from my kayak. I have done well fishing for trout there and my friend won a trout fishing tournament there! There are some monsters down there (monster trout that is!)

Definitely beats work! I'm jealous. Just being out on the water is all I ask. Catching fish is a bonus :-)
