I purchased a shimano Nasci 500 to go on my st.croix panfish series, replacing the quantum spinning real that was originally on it. I like the reel but I'm not sure if I like it for $100. Looking for other people's experiences or suggestions of comparable 500 size spinning reels to put on my st.croix panfish series.

Agreed, $59.95 for a pretty bullet-proof reel. Sell lots of them at the shop I work part time.
