I’am interested in all advice on this I’m going to buy a new bait casting reel to flip, pitch with I want about a 7-2 gear ratio my price goal would be to keep it below $250 or less I have heard the new reels run so much smoother so you can pitch further because there designed for that I am Shimano Reel fan but open to any brand you guys think is better or just as good for a better price. Any Other advice greatly appreciated line, rods ways to fish for bass I will take any advice you want to Contribute. If it helps I will be fishing S E Alabama great bass country Bluegill king
Go to bass pro shop and get one of there reels for about 120 .00 and pick out the rod that feels right to you
Line if you like braid I like spider wire
Florocsrbon I use berkley vanishing jigs are from Riot baits or angler tungsten I’m partial they are both my sponsors
If you like Shimano the Curado is good, also the Diawa Tutula. I might have miss spelled some, but you get the idea I hope. Have them both and very good reels for pitching.
Shimano Curado K and a Shimano Exage 7 1/2 ft heavy fast is a great flipping combo.
Just a shade over your $250 budget but well worth it.
For a $100 rod the Exage is a pretty darned good stick.
I want to thank all of you for your advice one last Question if buy a left hand reel which side of the reel is the handle on
