Broke my brand new St. Croix rod landing this guy....
I bought a MH Mojo bass rod only a few weeks ago and it failed miserably when I set the hook on this guy. I can only imagine the rod was defective or that it was improperly handled before I bought it. I’m hoping St. Croix will make this right....

I had 2 mojo bass rods that broke on bass less than 5lbs. Will not be going back to them

Just a heads up, it’s unhealthy for the fish to hold them this way. It puts unnecessary strain on there neck and spine and could cost the life of the fish.

That’s disheartening to hear. They came highly recommended by many fellow anglers I talked to. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, I’m hoping there warranty is worth a damn....

I've always used the walmart Shakespeare Cirrus rods or UglyStik and have never broken a rod with any fish. Mostly bass fish but will throw a catfish setup on and be good.

It’s pretty hard to break an Ugly Stick.
Never broke an ugly stick they hold up well even to the bad cast in the trees and jerking baits out
They are good rods and they will replace the rod free of charge anytime no matter how you broke it. They are a bit lighter and fragile but with a better feel tha the heavier rods the others make which is why I love to fish with them.

Broke a St. Croix a year after purchase. They replaced with no problems.
Use a can and string. Won't break🤣
St.Croix will stand by it.
No comparison to an Ugly Stik. They won’t break but neither will a telephone pole but would you want to fish with one.
St. Croix is a great company, keep us posted to the outcome.
Not sure, but hasn't St Croix closed?

They are still in business.
America’s best selling rod company.
They didn’t get that way because they are a shoddy company. One of the best and stand by their products with some of the best reps in the country.
I believe the St Croix "Mojo Bass" line are mass produced in China or somewhere like that. You have to move up to the "Premier" line to get the hand made in the U.S.A. Their only about $20.00 more.
