I stopped at the dam last week. Good number of people fishing. Saw a few perch. Planning on fishing hickory at the steel Bridge, hopefully one day this week. They should be coming up Deer Creek if these cold rains haven't shut them down.

Thanks for the information. I live in PA about 1-1/2 hrs. away from Conowingo and was planning on going this Wed. or Thursday if I knew Hickory shad were at the dam.

The run is still about 1-2 weeks away. All the old timers were talking about it yesterday at the restaurant I was at. They said water still to cold.

Yep watching this post also. Haven't been to Conowingo in 50+ years. Can the shore line be walked these days. I think i remember train tracks at one time.

Can't walk train tracks since 911. Deer creek area in the Susquehanna Park in Harford County . best location but gets busy quick

Thanks Rob, odd about the train tracks. I would be more concerned about a drone then a runaway train.

If you see a black Tahoe with a bunch of surf stickers, that's me. Might give it a try. A lot depends on the weather. It's staying cool and it's supposed to rain Wednesday. Thursday might be a better shot.

Went to Conowingo on Wed., caught 7 and lost 7 shad but think I know why I lost them.
