Thursday night at sunset. Stripers were in. Place was railed to the point it was dangerous. People casting heavy plugs right next to each other. Bails snapping shut lures breaking off. Bang someone hit the lightpole.
I got two at 27 1/2" and 25". Friend got three around the same size. I used a 5" Storm wildeye.
Friday am. Tried a small pond next town over. One bullhead on a nightcrawler, 3 small crappie and 3 small bass on small a jighead.
Sat am. Local park. Six small bass on a small jig head.
Sorry about pictures too much going on. I only took a picture of the catfish.

Your welcome.
I fish the jig head under a bobber. Reel it in slow above the weeds. Also get hits when it's just stopped.
Jawbone Paddle tail.

World really good in Pacific Ocean on Lead Headed Jig hook for rock fish and Lingcod
Any idea when stripers will hit Island Beach State Park?
I don't fish that area but I'd say a couple of weeks for the ocean.
Here's what the The Fisherman Mag says.

Although we are not yet experiencing striper-palooza conditions as in others of the state, action in Atlantic and Cape May counties has picked up both in the rivers, bays and along the coast this week. Stripers are being caught on bloodworms and clams in the Mullica, Delaware and Great Egg Rivers while Delaware Bay reports are that larger fish have been chunked up using bunker with fish pushing the 40-inch mark. And the oceanfront is flush with bunker pods but devoid of actively feeding fish.

THIS REPORT IS FOR ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.
4/10/21 UPDATED 7:06 AM One of my first customers of the day just showed my a picture of a fish caught in the State Park on a NEEDLEFISH!!!! Might mean nothing, might just be an anomaly, but if it is what I think it might be, that would be hot!!!(KNOCK ON WOOD). Good conditions today and if this weekend keeps going this way, we will be fully open and loaded next week.

I've heard cut bait works just fine in FW.
Also, haven't tried it...yet.
