I don't mind answering at all, I normally fish Tim's Ford lake, I live right by the dam and ramp so it's hard to get me elsewhere. There is a small lake near me Woods Reservoir that I also frequent and it is loaded with Crappie. Tim's has much bigger and Woods has numbers. Won't catch as many here on Tim's but they'll be big ones, over a pound normally. Woods is chocked full of 3/4 pound so I usually let my whim decide where I'll go. It's now the time of year when I'll start night fishing for them and Smallmouth here on Tim's and that'll be starting very soon.

My last is Ivey, when I was growing up I ran with 7 Michaels my name too so we all got nicknames. Mine was easy, so Ivey has transitioned to what everyone calls me, even my wife. Have you ever researched your name?
I am offspring of the Ivey’s from Florida and NC Carolina area. My Father was born in Graceful Florida my grandfather’s family was from NC. My brother traced the name back to 3 brothers that came from Europe back in the 1600s

Not much to brag about this morning could only squeak out 5 keeper Crappie and foul hooked a bluegill so I brought it in to. If most the I caught had been a little bigger I'd had a bunch buy mainly small males didn't meet measurement restrictions. These will make a tasty meal for the wife and I.
Nothing to complain about there. I’d be happy. Going to look into getting my license soon.

My dad did a study of our linage and we landed in North Carolina in 1792 on the good ship Rebecca. Our kin bought a lot of land there then son's made their way down the Tennessee river to Scottsboro Al. From there my family moved to Huntsville Al. and can't remember but 5 or 6 generations there. The North Carolina Ivey's are distant relatives of ours so some where along the line we may be Kin.
Thanks for getting back to me. I'd like to try those 2 places you mentioned and I located them on the map. It's an easy drive for me I think. Can you give me some local knowledge about these spots, where to park, best areas of the water to fish, anything you feel might help? What sort of rig(s) do you use?
