For all my saltwater fishing endeavors I support my local tackle shop ( Best Tackle ). The only bass friendly shops locally are most always sold out as are the gun shops! I rely hugely on Tackle Warehouse for my gear... and, they are based in central California. Local enough for me! Or, I could drive an hour and a half to Bass Pro shops and spend my money on a company that under pays professional fisherman and women while they rake in billions a year! There’s a little something about freedom... buy what you want, from who you want, so can go fishing when you want🤷🏼‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️🎣

Easy there champ... sounds like you need to go fishing! Last time I checked, I already have a wife, and, in this beautiful country of the USA, I can purchase what I want from who I want with the money I’ve eared from working hard! Your “live bait on Amazon” remark helps nobody but your negativity and ego! We are here to make friends, learn and enjoy the sport of fishing together. From advanced to novice, we can all learn more!

Looking for Recommendations where to order rods from online. I would assume they would be a hard item to ship so I was seeing if anyone had any first hand experience with a company they ordered one from. Thank you for the help 🎣

Just like Ben, I ordered from Midway USA. I got both the rods I ordered, although they Both showed up Broken, both by USPS. The Last one even went to Honolulu Hawaii first before it got to me! I will never do that again, what a bad experience. I just went out of town and bought at an outdoor store.

LOCAL TACKLE STORE.
Feel what you are buying first and keep your local guy in business.
So the next time you need bait, he will be there for you.
Besides, any good rod you buy, will be the same price no matter where you buy it.Good rods are not allowed to be discounted.

I am with you Salesrep. I once had a small bait and tackle shop in my younger days and I can attest to the importance of hands on customer service. At one time people appreciated the one on one service and advice should it be asked for. There were times, luckily not often, that if a customer had a problem with a rod and we had a like rod in stock we would simply exchange it if it was still under warranty and send the rod in and replace the one we gave to our customer to our stock system.

Agree with what Sales Rep says about your local guy. Ever think K-MART would bite the dust? Way to go management. My local guy even remembers my name when I come in. He (him and his bride) survived a very tough time for businesses.

Thank you John, in Elk Grove Village, IL.

I’ve only had my local shop have the rod I’m looking for on one occasion.
He will order whatever I want though.
Have done this a couple of times. He’s a little pricy.
It’s just as easy for me to order what I want on line.
That way I can get the specific model I’m looking for and cut out as many middle men as possible.
So far only the one damaged rod. All other times , got what i ordered. Got it on time and un damaged.
Overall not a bad experience.

I have used both Ebay & Amazon.....without any issues. If you don't like what you receive Amazon will
take a return with no problem, and it is fast. Ebay a little more of an issue but it gets done.

All premium rods, like St.Croix, G.Loomis, Falcon,Danali and other premium manufactured rods are fair trade items and carry no discount allowed....so local stores sell them for the same price as online and discount stores do.
