Thanks OBG, hopefully this weekend. My buddy and I haven't decided where we're going yet. He's leaning towards somewhere with a Trout option. We'll see as the week progresses.

Thanks Racsr, I just got an update on the weather, and they pushed the rain back to Sunday. If it holds, looks like Saturday will be the first outing of the season.

Thanks Andy, yeah Easter was peaceful, just the way I like it.
Have a great day on the water with the girls. Sometimes a boat ride is all you need. Be safe out there.

Hi Fred. I messed with boat all day. She fired up n ran good. Had a bad axle grease cap. Headed over the mtn with Bug n pup. 12 miles to dealer. Get there they gone. Ask where they moved. Fredrick md 15 more miles. Got there no boat dealer. Found there are in Fredericksburg Va. Wasted 2 hrs drove near 80 miles wasted gas. Found a little biat repair shop about 4 miles from house. He had them $4.12. Always something but i found a place close to home. Couple other shops around but I've been shafted by 2 of them. Hope this guy is good. Seemed like nice guy. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Always good to have multiple sources Grizz. We've lost a few inland dealers over the years. I've got 1 Merc dealer very close to home, and one 10 or 12 miles away. Most of the rest are down along the shoreline,20-40 miles away. The close to home guy is actually the son of the original owner. His dad was into racing back in the day, and built some killer straight 6 Merc Tower of Power racing motors. He retired about 9 or 10 yrs ago and moved to Florida. The son is just trying to keep the business going to put food on the table. I try to give him as much business as I can, he's a nice kid and a good mechanic. The modern day market has kinda passed him by, with all the computerized stuff. Glad you got what you needed. Good luck on your 1st trip out.

Thanks Fred. That trip caused me to work some more 2moro. I'm going to check plugs n compression. Get some wax on motor n get gear back in her. Wed calls for 79 n 6 mph wind. Hope it stays that way. That would make a nice day in the water. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Yeah Fishinfellow , I launch at several "undeveloped " ramps, ie,no docks. I have to beach the boat,to park or retrieve my truck. My Merc doesn't have power trim, so whenever I'm in a foot and a half or less water,I only use the transom mount troller. It saves the lower unit on the Merc. It also comes in handy going ashore to retrieve wayward lures.LOL

Jeeze Four, I wasn't aiming for the bushes on the bank. The lure was trying to escape!

LOL. Mine have a mind of their own from time to time. They seem to like marsh grass and rip rap. 😁😁😁
