Looking to get a Pelican Raider 10E but also see other boats that are some what the same like the Pond Prowler and now see that Pelican has the “New” 10E NXT. So what’s the differences between the three or if you know of a different one please post it...We fish mostly ponds and small lakes that only allow electric.
Thanks Guys!!

Make sure you have more than enough extra weight capacity. You will be happy you did even if it meets getting larger kayak. Ali I had a store and sold pelican kayaks for 2 years. The ones with separate seat The pockets that seat goes into for higher position are weak and seat falls when you sit down.

No Kayak’s as I mostly go with my grandson. I looked at the twin troller and that looks really nice but the cost is getting to me a bit...Anyone here have one compared to the Raider? I see also that they discontinued the front mounting trolling foot control troller that mounts to the mount on the boat...I guess the big foot would be ok..

Racsr is correct in regards to weight capacity the heavier capacity the better, especially if ever planning on fishing 2 people. I also looked at both boats, and the Bass Hunter boats, and finally went with the Pond Prowler II. The Pond Prowler rides higher in the water and has a little bit higher higher weight capacity. I am happy with my Pond Prowler II. It is very stable and you can easily stand up and fish in it without fear of tipping over. Very sturdy. Seats aren’t bad and can be upgraded if needed. I use a 55lb Trust Trolling Motor on it and it moves really well. If planning on fishing more than 3 hrs a smaller lb Thrust motor will make battery last longer. With a small push pole or retractable paddle to push off with you can get into some pretty skinny water. The Pelican is a good boat as well, but in researching I felt a little better with the Pond Prowler. Definitely do not regret my decision. If you buy it at Bass Pro Shops and do not like it they have a great return policy (60 days I believe) Both boats are very light and easy to load and unload solo. Best of luck with your future purchase and fishing trips.

Thanks Guys and now really looking at the Twin Troller again and again. Yea its expensive and the shipping is $450 to get to me so I really need to make a decision on what to buy. I’m in Florida this week and going to hit Bass pro shop now that Cast4Bass has talked about the Prowler..

I have a bass raider and really like it. I thought it offered more than the prowler and was cheaper.

Nice pick! You should have great trips with this one. I liked this one too, but a little bit too pricey for the amount of times I could use it. Best of Luck with your new boat!
