Good mornin' Katsmmrs, Welcome to the Forum. All fish, saltwater & freshwater, like structure, so, where there is structure, they are fish. Freshwater fish like crawlers, saltwater fish like live shrimp. All fish like their meals to be moving a little. So, there you have it in a nutshell, so have at it kid, good luck!
Good advice from Flyguy. In addition if you can find a dock that is near a bend or faster water movement that could be a hot spot. Also look for the edge of under water weeds. Bigger fish like to hank out and hit the minnows when they come out of the weeds.
Check out John Skinner on youtube. He recently moved into that area and is a wealth of information.

Welcome to the area Kat. In addition to other answers, thread fins and pilchards for snook if you have a good live well. Gold spoons and white buck tail jigs in the 1/4 to 1/2 ounce range for when the live bait gets used up.

Take some live shrimp out to one of the nearer artificial reefs and "practice"! There are generally plenty of smaller fish that will keep you busy as you learn the "feel" of the bite. I suggest light tackle with a chicken rig. If you are lucky and have a fishfinder, study the bottom when you are getting bites and learn where the fish are... then move on to other reefs and wrecks and apply what you have learned.
