Hi Mike, I’m over in Lee County. What’s the best way to fish those inlets from shore. Would like to try. Any advice you can offer?

Hi Mike,

Glad to have you aboard. I live in Key Biscayne, about 1 1/2 hours south of you. I am an avid fly fisherman for bonefish and occasionally, snook. I am going to be bass and snook fishing north of you at Big Cypress lake and Sebastian inlet from April 9 through 16. I'll let you know how it goes. You have some great fishing near you, especially for snook.

jupiter inlet is a haven for world record snook. fish it on out going tide at the end of the flow. there's a parking lot on one side for easy access

You can avoid the rocks by slipping further west toward the end of the jetty walk. Concrete bulkhead there. You might try shrimp suspended under a large float to avoid snags in the rocks. Also, try Sawfish Bay park a little further west of the inlet. Access from A1A. Then there’s the Juno pier.

Hello all, I fish deep sea and backcountry south Florida up to Jupiter, ten miles into the Wildness Waterway in the Everglades and the Florida Keys. I have two small boats and scuba dive, unfortunately, have little time to do what I love most due to my real work. Winds have been a big problem here lately for smaller boats. Mother nature prefers retired people. Not too much into fishing for Bass (although one jumped on my line recently), and have yet to fly fish.

Welcome aboard.
Sweet catch - don’t let life(work) keep you from enjoying the fishing. This from a voice of experience!

Hi Mike,

I’m in Port Saint Lucie and fish the Indian River, Surf Fish Hutchison Island and freshwater fish where I can. I shore fish mostly. Pompanos are being caught in the surf now. I’ve also fished in Stuart and Fort Pierce. I am always looking for new locations to saltwater and freshwater fish and looking for that slot snook! I also fly fish and tie my own flies. I haven’t fished in Jupiter, but that’s on my list.
