Awesome story Bern, I’ve been fortunate enough though the years to Help out 2 Deer. One got hit by a car and 1 stuck in a fence, they Both lived for another Day as far as I know. I Hunt, but would Never not help one in need, and I Love the Critters. Thanks for the Story.

Great tale. It's a good thing that you had a large enough boat for the occasion. I had something similar but somehow very different happen to me. My Dad and I were fishing Bull Shoals Lake in southern Missouri when I was a kid. We saw something in the water swimming right at the boat from the middle of the lake. It was the largest black snake I had ever seen. My Dad helped it into the boat and we took it to shore then he helped it back out of the boat. Not as warm and cuddly as a deer.
