I'm going to lake Gaston myself towards the end of April. I went there last year and caught several nice bass fishing boat docks using plastic salamanders/lizards in the pumpkin seed color. I have one picture of my Grandson and myself with a small bass he and I caught around the docks of the place where we stayed. I'll try to post it this morning. I really liked Gaston so hopefully we'll have as much luck this year and I hope you have a great time as well. Tight Lines.

Kt I've fushed deep creek often. Hope map pics help. I use tubes n wacky stickbait 1st. Spinnerbait crankbaits jigs swimbait all work. Cherry cove can be good alot of stumps n rocks. Mc Henry cove good at times alot of grass nomal. Beckmans cove n the one in that area usually best for bass. Work the docks n banks good luck.

Never fished Derp Ceek but Gaston can be a great lake to fish if they are drawing water,
Lizard creek is good and Five Pound creek is good.
Fish piers and boat docks with Ned Rigs and four inch worms.
