Lets talk sometime

Hello, my name is Tom.
I live in Chico CA.

I mainly fish Northern CA Lakes and Rivers. I really like ocean fishing, but I do not get to do it very much. I am all ways hoping to meet some new fishing people and learn more about all types of fishing

I would really like to go out with some people who need an extra person for gas and or company. Also, I would really like to trade fishing trip with different people.

21 ft Jetcraft. I have Humminbird Helix electronics, Minkota with remote steering, Cannon down riggers and a Yamaha kicker with a new Garmin remote control(If I can get it working properly)

I fish all year round mostly during the week as I am retired from CSU-Chico. Doesn’t mean I will not fish on the weekends, I just don’t have to.

My Fishing Patterns Are:
Jan.-March, Shasta, Oroville and Almanor Trout.
March -May Stripers Chico (Sac) and Yuba City(Feather).
Bullard Bar Kokanee All Spring and Summer
May - Shad, Sacramento River
July - November Salmon, Sac and Feather. Kings @ Lake Oroville
Eagle Lake In October -November.

Laughingly, anywhere else I can find fish, or people to fish with me.
Lets talk sometime br br Hello, my name is Tom. b... (show quote)

If you are going for stripers let me know and I will help with expenses.

I've quit looking. Only people who have replied already have their own boat. I wanted to do this to give people who didn't have the opportunity a chance.

Hey T1. You need to hit "Quote Reply" first before you post a response. That way we know who you're talkin to.
Thanks. Hope you can get together with someone and get out on the water. Post some pics of your catch if you do. Good luck and tight lines.

Hey guys',
Give Thays1 a break. Here is a man who has offered to take people fishing on a boat, who would not get the chance otherwise. It seems pretty clear to me that this is very generous on his part. It is a win win offer. How many of you boat owners with all the negative comments would do the same?

I do, all the time. However, I'm not opposed to fishin on someone else's boat if they offer to take me out.
My regular fishin partner , Brad, takes me out almost always on his boat. If we're goin lake fishin we'll take my boat. Either way we have fun, catch a lot of fish and enjoy each other's company no matter whose boat we take.
It's really nice of T1 to offer to take someone out on his boat, don't get me wrong, that's great. However in his first post he commented that his wife didn't want him to go out by himself anymore. A lot of us can relate to that. So if someone offers to take you out in their boat, it just seems natural to go instead if sittin at home wishin you you were able to take somebody in your boat.
I enjoy fishin PERIOD. Your boat, my boat or shore fishin. That's just the way I feel anyway. To each his own.
I know a lot of guys that have boats that don't live near me that want to fish together. I plan on goin there and fishin with them and using their boat. That way I don't have to pull my boat all the way there. Then if they want to come fish with me sometime, they don't have to pull their boat all the way here, we can use my boat.
Beats sittin home on the couch if you ask me. Just my opinion.

Thank you for the kind words of truth. I'm kind of used to this. For yrs and yrs i owned and operated charter boats . 99&1/2 % of fishermen were grateful for chance to go fishing and we loved to help them. the other 1/2 percent didn't know the meaning of thank full and their only agenda was to tell us how we were doing it all wrong and we needed to listen to them. So now when I get remarks like you're referring too, it's laughable.

I wish I could help you. As you see my comments you'll see most are concerned about telling about and helping themselves rather than helping others. Way of the world anymore, I guess.

Since you won't hit Quote Reply before you respond we don't know who you are addressing.
I think it's wonderful for you to offer to take someone fishin. But I would still go fishin with somebody else in their boat before I would sit at home wishin I was on the water.

It is hard I know, but don't get bitter. Just remember as charter captains, all the great people we have taken out and the things we have learned from them. It is what I call experience.

I wish I was closer to either one of y'all. I'd love the chance/opportunity to fish and learn from both of you.
