Leeg53: Welcome to Texas. You have lakes all around you, but I am not familiar enough to give you any hints. The only place I know is in the Gulf near Galveston, but that's a long trip from the Dallas area. Thanks guys. I've noticed many nice bodies of water but shore access seems limited. Great if you gave a boat

Yes, a boat such as a 14 or 16 ft V bottom with a gasoline powered engine and troll motor is best. Just Sayin....RJS
