I use a spincast reel with braided line I am having problems with line twisting up even if I use a swivel it doesn't make much difference after a few hours of casting the line will start to twist up real bad I am open to any suggestions to resolve this problem thank you very much
I think a spincast reel will basically cause line twist in the manner it takes the line back up. I would recommend try using a spinning reel to eliminate the issue. also dump the line periodically and put it back on the reel to get rid of the twist.
If your useing cheap swivels all they are good for is ease of changing lures. They don't help much with twist. Bearing swivels cost about three or four times as much but do a much better job cutting down on line twist. I've also found the clasps to be much stronger on them . The bearings allow the swivel to spin more freely when pulled through the water . One more thing , if you are trying to reel in while drag is going out on a spinning reel you are creating the twist in your line. Good luck. Keep us informed on the progress of the issue.

Hey Guy, any chance the line was put on improperly which could cause line twist? I have spinning reels and if the line is put on improperly major headache.

dont7518 hit the nail on the head. Spincast reels, due to their design, will cause line twist with every retrieve.
Another thing, don't keep reeling if not retrieving any line, you are just twisting the line.
