Super Att.... in case you need help filtering through all the great advice, this is where you stand...
1) your truck should tow that 620 just fine
2) the tires and lift are only an issue if they are on the extreme end of the spectrum. A normal lift with bigger tires is not causing your problem.
3) that leaves either the truck or boat trailer as the problem.
4) have a friend with a truck hook up to your boat and take a drive. If all is well the problem is with your truck.
5) take your truck to the dealer (2019 should still be under warranty) and tell them what the truck is doing.
6) pick it up when they are done and go fishing
7) easy peasy, no stress, no worries, no new truck payment.

Release the parking brake. You’ll get better gas mileage, too.

I was wondering if anyone owns a Ranger 620 and what truck do you tow it with? My husband and I just bought a Ranger 620 (we previously owned a Ranger 520). We own a 2019 F-150 V8 5.0 L. It also has a 6 inch lift with mud tires. It had no trouble towing our 520. But my husband just took his first road trip with the 620- an 8 hour trip with the 620 and told me he barely made it home. He said The truck started making noises and struggled to go above 45 miles per hour. Now he is taking about trading in his truck for a Ram or a Tundra. We can’t really afford a 3/4 ton truck but don’t want to go through the hassle (and money) of trading in this truck we just bought last year if it could still potentially have the same issues? The boat only weighs 5,000 lbs and when I look it up online it says the F-150 can tow up to 11,600. Sorry for the long post but so stressed right now and don’t know what to do! Thank you!

Something wrong with the truck. Ignition coil pack, you have 8 of them. If one goes out it can cause a loss of power issue. Plenty of other things also. I happen to be familiar with the ignition coils.

Check spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter. Should be no reason your truck with 5.0 liter engine is having issues pulling a 5000 lb boat.

Something is wrong with your F-150! It should easily tow your boat. The engine in your F-150 is rated at almost 400HP at an astronomical 5,750rpm! You'll never ever see that engine speed when you're towing something! If you're going to work your truck a bit hard (what are trucks for?) you should really go for an F-250 with a 6.2! It is designed to develop its high horsepower at much lower engine speeds that you are readily going to see in everyday use. I have one! I don't "put my foot in it" and I get 14mpg on the highway. You'll be a lot happier with your trucks performance and it is fast enough to be fun to drive when you're not towing anything. Between the other two trucks I'd go for the Tundra! Since Fiat bought Chrysler Corporation Dodge trucks have turned into complete trash! Good Luck!

Does your truck have a Transmission Oil Cooler? If not have one put on. Whatever happened will be recorded in the vehicle computer and many parts stores will read the codes for free.

And I don't even know it's behind me.
Have a good mechanic look at your truck could be your converter is what it sounds like !!
Good luck
And enjoy the new boat

The F-150 Platinum with the 5.0 I got used was used to pull a 32 foot 9500 pound fifth wheel trailer, it's not the size or weight of the boat, and that's a new enough truck it should be under warranty.

I'm not sure what that was, they do not need an F-250 to pull a frigging boat. They do not ride nearly as nice, and tongue weight is not that high on the boat trailer. I've got friends that have F-250's and their consensus is that they prefer the ride on my F-150, and they realize they do not need the weight capability. That comes into play with super high tongue and fifth wheel towing weights where the truck is shouldering a lot of weight. My F-150 pulls a 9500 pound fifth wheel without feeling a need for an F-250. The guys who "need" F-250's are carrying heavy construction equipment and trailers, or perhaps a 29 foot Fountain. My uncle pulled a 21 foot Grady White with an older F-150.

The advice needed is for someone to figure out what's wrong with the truck, not what they "should" buy to replace something that is fine for the job.

Your 5 .0 makes 300 ft/lbs torque @ 4500 rpm, which is screaming. All kidding aside,a mustang with the little ecoboost motor makes 350ft/lbs @2000 rpm so by this comparison the sports car is better.

Have it checked out...you could probably get it done at an autozone or somewhere they can plug in a tester and see what codes are running...not the dealer, unless its under warranty.

Over-sized tires change the gear ratio required for towing. Don't change the truck.....change the tires.
