18 with 2 or 3 over 10 pounds. But I've fished for another 10 freshwater species that I haven't caught at all. Life is like that.

How many fish from this list have you caught. Unscramble this and it’s what you’re fishing for

I have caught all of them, then I wake up and wonder why I am tired and someone took my fish..
I can count 10, with few whoppers. I have not been exposed to any of the northern species.
However, I have one unusual catch. My father in law and I were trolling a proto-type of a new Bomber that later would be called the Water Dog. It wasn't even painted, just white base coat. The reason was Bomber wanted to determine if the use of an aluminum diving bill would wear too much. All the earlier Bombers had bills made of brass. To make it work, the Water Dog had to have a larger bill, and brass was too heavy. So we were testing these water dogs by trolling in Texoma. I had out a lot of line and was using a Shakespear direct drive reel. Suddently, I caught something that really hit hard and since the reel did not have the modern braking system, but was a direct drive, the fish pulled out a few yards of line and did it so fast it burned a sizeable blister on my left thumb. The scar lasted for years. I finally reel it is and had a Kentucky Spotted bass of about 3 pounds. It was the very first fish ever caught on this lure. Just Sayin...RJS
