Does anybody have a graphic or just a list of the best knots to use for what?

Just mastered the SD Jam but at this point I know maybe 10-15 knots and really have no idea what knot is optimal for what Iโ€™m trying to do at any point in time. Thx!

I don't think you need to know that many knots, a 1/2 doz would great plenty.

Must be a hobby for you. I have used only four knots for the last 60+ years and somehow still catch fish๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘!

I would go to Pinterest for all the knots, both fly and bait casting, jigging! It is endless.

I think you just need a few. But if you want to learn more, have fun. I use double uni for connecting lines. Surgeons knot for making a loop. Palomar or improved clinch for terminal tackle. I just started using a uni knot to Snell hooks. I'm not sure it matters much but it looks cool. Then I fish with my Ugly Stick. hehehehehehe!

I use only three knots.
San Diego Jam knot for everything except drop shot, or pitching/flipping, then I use the Snell knot. And to tie my leader to braid, I use the Crazy Alberto.

I have been fishing over 70 yrs and I know two knot's. One is called the Palomar but I seldom use it and the other is not? I'd give it a name but I don't even remember what I had for breakfast!

Yeah!!! You wouldnโ€™t want a ugly knot if youโ€™ve got an ugly stick. No what I mean...๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐ŸŸ
