Why you yelling at us?
You have one of the top lakes in the whole COUNTRY for catchin big bass right there in Texas, Lake Fork.
I'm sure there are plenty of guides on Fork that could put you on BIG bass without havin to go to Florida.
Not that I'm sayin you shouldn't go to Florida if you want to. Just sayin I don't think it's a necessity to go to Florida to catch a 10+ pounder.
I too want to catch a 10+ pounder so I know how you feel. Good luck to you and be sure to post a pic of yours when you catch it. Tight lines brother.

Ditto on wanting to catch that
10-lb. hawg bass; pretty sure there are quite a few members
on here who would also like to
do so !

Wasn't much chance of doing so back in N.H., as the state record was only about 10-1/2 lbs., but here in Arizona, the record
stands at about 16-1/2 lbs., and at least three lakes plus parts of the Colorado River have the potential to produce bass of that size, so my chances of catching one have improved considerably !

10 pounders are few and far in between no matter where you go.
Okeechobee with live shiners would be your best bet.Stick Marsh was the hot spot for a few years but have not heard anything about it lately.

Well Clear Lake Ca. is another premier Big bass lake in the country. I'm only 1 1/2 hours from there so I could have a good chance if I would just fish it more.
I'll have to start goin out with NorCalSteve more this year and maybe we'll both catch our new PB 10+ pounder.

My grandson Kelton then 10 yrs old and now 26 yrs old always catching hogs off our dock 8 & 10 lbs and out on the lakes. We live about 600 yds on a canal off Lake Eustis, which is on the Harris Chain of Lakes in Florida. We regularly fish Eustis, Big & Little Lake Harris and very rarely don't catch nice bass the year around. Best months though are January through April when they are bedding. Almost always what I call fantastic fishing!!! We also catch lots of big Stripers and Crappie! BassTournaments of some kind going on almost every weekend! Getting ready to head out now. Happy fishing to all!!!!

I just got back from Lake Kissimmee Florida today. We fished from Sunday until yesterday. I had a 10lb 8oz bass and two over 7 during the week. All caught on shiners.

Caught this 10-1 at fork in sept. of 2014. East side of the 154 bridge by that first boat house. 3 ft water. Was fishing by myself from my nitro. Took me a few minutes to get her to the boat because she was hooked with 1 treble hook. I hollered to some guys in another boat that was under the bridge and they came and witnessed the weight....Reason I’m telling you this is you probably have a better chance at a 10 at fork than in Florida. For sure will be cheaper. I personally don’t use live bait, but if you insist on live bait, try live goldfish. I’ve heard of big fish being caught from fork using those.....I think if you live close to fork, don’t give up on it. I should add here that the fish you see in the photo is a fiberglass replica of a photo that was taken of the bass I caught. It was made by Lake Fork Taxidermy. Last time I saw this big girl she was swimming towards the bridge...My 2cents
