Not necessarily a local, but definitely a dude with a fishing problem. Tons of rivers to target in your region. Steelhead season is in full affect right now and all the streams have fish in them. A lot of possibilities for you, so grab a rod and start making some casts. You’re welcome to PM me for additional information. I just don’t know how you fish, I.e. spinner, bait cast, or fly. All tactics work well. Tight lines

Welcome fellow Oregonian, from the other end of the state. Like StlhdSlayer said, LOTS of choices up there. Obviously you can ask around at local tackle shops and I highly suggest you watch or DVR NBCSportsNW's "Outdoor GPS" Thur&Fr @ 7pm Sat&Sun @ 8am. (Charter/Spectrum ch426)Great host, great tips, great guests and current river conditions, mostly in your area, btw.
As mentioned, we don't know how you are fishing... gear-wise, bank or boat ? It's definitely Steelhead season, and I have "heard" that many of them are a bit larger this year. A 21 1/2lb was shown on Outdoor GPS Thursday evening, can't recall which river, might have been the Siletz or Alsea (?). Fisherman's Marine or FishField might have some info, as well.
Jeremy (FS member in Portland) will most likely chime in here soon, he hits the coast fairly frequently.
Not sure about your area, but the Rogue is pretty blown out from all the rain here, so it's gonna take a few days to calm down, maybe mid-week, I'm hoping.
Again, we'll need to know HOW you plan to fish to give you insight that's actually relevant...... not much chance of swinging streamers or ? in the riffles around here....they have 3'-5' of water over them ! No wading here, just yet !
As soon as these storms pass, the surf perch will pick up, as well.
Let us know how/with what, you are fishin', that'll be the first step.
Good luck on your quest !
