Let me know how those Clip-ons work for you and where you purchased them. Thinking about a pair for me.
My wife got a pair of Solar Rays that go over your total glasses and she says they are very comfortable. She found them at Hy-Vee but they have a large selection of them at Walmart also. Around $10 and yes they are colorized and she uses them for fishing. You can look online.

I was gifted a pair of Costas several years ago and found them to be pretty much equivalent protection and visual acuity-wise.... to my Walmart Ozark Trails for $5.98. Totally embarrassed that, at the time of the gifting, on my 60th, I had no clue that they were $180 sunglasses ! Should have been a bit more gracious to the giver, but he's quite wealthy, so probably doesn't even remember giving them to me, likely grabbed them from his wife's "gift drawer"....yeah, those kind of folks, a former client of mine.
Doing the math ....30 pairs of totally efficient fishing shades = 1 pair of "Look how effin' cool I look and am" shades.....mmmm...I wonder.......... what should my advice be ?
PS....I only wear them (the Costas) occasionally, usually when I know I might run into him at our favorite "Steelhead hole" on the Rogue, and of course.... ALWAYS when he rides in my driftboat or I in his $60k+ (?) jetboat......yet..still probably doesn't remember that he gave them to me !
My transition glasses work great there worth getting. Not too clear at night though seem kinda shaded. Working on getting night time glasses.

I wear the polarized from Cabela's. Had cataract surgery this past summer and needed glasses that really work. I know the $55 price is more than you would have to pay for others but they were a God send for me.

Alvin Red, This is my first time trying to reply. I'm 68 and have some problems with poor sight and cataracts. I bought a pair of polarized clip-ons just to try. I'm saving up for a good pair of prescription ones now. Gotta love the polarized.
I have polarized prescription. Like them, only problem is my prescription changed. I have bought two times. I think I’ll try the clip on one now.
I believe I bought them from Wally World. I know they were inexpensive. The only draw backs are the added weight on your face and light from the sides. I do however think that is offset by the reduction in eye strain and seeing into the water better. I think something in a wrap around prescription lens would suit me better. In my case polarized trifocals are expensive.
My second prescription ones were the wrap around. You’re right about why getting them. Well be seeing eye doctor soon. I’ll probably get another wrap around. Thanks for the reply. 😎🌴😎

I would start with a 10 dollar or so pair from Walmart. They're polarized and fit/feel good. You can always upgrade later if you want to and you're not out a lot of money. Plus, if you loose them on your first trip out to the lake, it doesn't feel like the end of the world.
He is so right !! I’ve been fishing my hole life! I’ve been buying sun glasses most of it, I’ve had 200.00$ glasses, and 100.00$ glasses, the best pair I own is the ones I bought at Walmart in the fishing section, They say Ugly Stick on them, I’ll never buy another pair for more then the 10.00$ They have a lot to choose from! I would go to Walmart save urself some $!

Hey Alvin! I’m 70 and just had cataract surgery. Got new prescription progressive glasses and polarized sunglasses at Costco. I’m going to test the polarization on Monday fishing on Shasta Lake.
