Is anyone on here an advid flathead fisherman in Georgia that enjoys the tussle of catfish on they're line? If so are there any suggestions as to some good fishing spots in any lakes or reservoirs in Georgia that you have good fishing with big Catfish and I'm looking for a fishing partner as well that loves to fish

Lonny I used to do a lot of cat fishing, but not for flatheads, mostly channel cats and blues when I lived in San Diego over twenty years ago. I've always heard that the best bait for large flatheads is live bluegills, what you probably call brim. I know large channel cats will eat them like popcorn. Make sure that's legal in Georgia, it's not here in California. Good luck on finding that partner. Go catch some kitties and post some photos!

Catch a flathead big enough for a neighborhood fish fry.

Not sure how many poles you're allowed to use in the state of Georgia but you can always try different baits like bluegill, Creek chubs, fresh chicken liver, stink bait, and blood bait and many many more. Try different baits on different hooks. The more the scent the better. Good luck Lonny

Caught that on a husky jerk while fishing for pike in a friends lake.
It was a surprise for sure.
That’s my nephew holding it.
I let him have the rod after I figured out what it was.
Really didn’t want to reach into his jaw to land it with all those hooks goin on.
Turned out ok

Circumstances haven't allowed me to fish for the past year. I'm hoping in late spring I can go at least once a week at first, then more as time goes on. Looking forward to staying tuned in to the Stage!

Exactly correct if you could ask a big flat head what his favorite food is he would say 3 and 4 inch blue gills yum yum. Alive of course.
