And non polarized are about useless other than to protect your eyes from UV.

When getting polorized glasses for fishing I like the Amber lenses. Or a lighter color. You can get get safety glasses that are polorized that are not to expensive.

Why prefer lighter, Egg? See more or just like a "brighter" outlook on life?

I would start with a 10 dollar or so pair from Walmart. They're polarized and fit/feel good. You can always upgrade later if you want to and you're not out a lot of money. Plus, if you loose them on your first trip out to the lake, it doesn't feel like the end of the world.

Try Ozark Trail or Yum from Walmart. About $5. Polarized so you can see into the water through sun and glare. If you sit on them or loose them in the lake it doesn't hurt as bad as loosing or breaking my $250 pair of Maui Jim's. It is an easy way to (see) what works without breaking the bank.

Alvin Red, This is my first time trying to reply. I'm 68 and have some problems with poor sight and cataracts. I bought a pair of polarized clip-ons just to try. I'm saving up for a good pair of prescription ones now. Gotta love the polarized.
