I’ve bought a bunch on eBay.
Used lots. Can get pretty good deals.
I’ve picked up decent deals on Craigslist
Guy that owns our local tackle shop calls me if he gets anything good on trade. We treat each other right

I love Tackle Warehouse but the shipping charges make a great price not so great. I get free shipping from Amazon and Walmart but Amazon prices are not so good but with free shipping it works out. I just bought a new tackle box (plano 732) that I love. Was $55 at Amazon but $39 at Walmart. Everywhere you shop you go onto their radar and they seem to know what interests you. I like that but it concerns me that they can read my alleged mind.

If you buy something from Fish USA and give them an email address, you will get an online offer daily. Sometimes it is just what you are looking for. Fastest shipping I've seen from anyone.

If you have sporting goods stores near you, watch for sales. I have a Dick's, Sheels, Fleet Farm, Gander Outdoors and a number of small private owned sporting good stores all within about 15 miles from home. I live in the middle of a 14,000 acre lake, so garage sales are a good place to find fishing stuff too! Depending on what you are fishing for it really doesn't take much tackle. A few different size hooks, floats and weights is about ALL you need. Worms, leaches and minnows will catch pretty much EVERY fish you will find in fresh water lakes. I have well over $2,500.00 in tackle, most of it is still in the package it came in. When Gander Mountain sold out it started at 40% off. Then 60% then 70%, it ended at 90% off before it closed its doors. Every time I drove by it I dropped another $100.00 or so. During the season I run an aerator in a Coleman cooler to keep my minnows alive, and I also have a few battery operated aerators and I keep $5 worth of batteries on hand

When Gander went down I disposed of my disposable income on guns. Nothing left over for fishing stuff.

Ebay. Look for stuff being auctioned. Sometimes you can get really great deals. A few good starting places would be Simmons sporting goods and Shelton clothing. These guys sell reels, lures, some rods, etc....My 2cents.

I just saw a new online store from KY advertised on Lindner’s Fishing Edge:
Land big fish.com
Their prices seem reasonable on the baits I am familiar with. Free shipping on orders over $50, military discounts and one page said they are having a 20% off sale this weekend.
May be worth checking out!

I took advantage of some of the Simmons auctions last year on lures and reels. Those guys are great!

I look at the Bargain cave on my local Cabbelas in Rogers Minnesota. I am also a Cabelas club card member and add up points for every time I use it. I buy gas food supplies and it adds points to my cabelas account. No Bass pro shops near me but I know that they merged together. 🛶

I lived near one of the first Cabelas in Dundee Michigan what a fantastic store with all the taxidermy it just blew my mind. I used to go once a month. I'm going to look into that card we have a Bass Pro Shop about 35 miles away where I am now.
