The latches on my box broke and I am taking the opportunity for an upgrade. I’ve been thinking g about trying to go with a bag. Anyone have any strong preference for a box vs a bag? Anyone have one that they REALLY like?
Thanks in advance!

rugbyshark7: Well, you need to supply more information. Do you fish from a boat, or from the shore? What kind of assorted lures are you accustomed to carrying? Do you fish salt water or fresh? And what do you fish for? Answers to all these questions and perhaps more would give the folks on the forum to get a better grip on your needs. Just Sayin...RJS
This is my go bag I carry if im on a trip in someone else’s boat.
Mines pretty old. This one looks like it’s just as good.
I think it holds 6 or7 3700 series Plano boxes
You can pack a bunch of stuff in it. Pretty good build quality.
Mines probably 15 years old and still going strong , but it don’t get out much.
Backpacks are all the rage right now. I have been using them for years. Convenient, you can wear it or put it on the floor, and you can get them at thrift stores cheap! Then I just swap out the plastic cases based on what kind of fishing I’m doing and I’m in business.
Bag or pack over noisey box, hands down. When I’m in my nitro sometimes the water gets rough and a plastic or aluminum box can bang around, spooking the fish. Noise travels really well underwater. Softer bags/ packs are better in my opinion. My 2cents.

I have a big bag with plano boxes, pockets, exterior net pockets to hold everything I have. Weighs in at about 60 pounds and a pain in the shoulder to carry. But it gets it all on and off the boat. I grab what I want and put in a square cat litter bucket and a couple of poles when I fish off the dock. Plan flexibility in you choice.

I have used this tackle organizer from Plano for years! Everthing is very handy and it fits on a five gallon bucket as the bucket's lid! Really handy!

I like the Cabella Advance Angler bag, I have several of them, one for each species. Although, I buy them empty with no boxes., as I do not like the Cabella boxes that come with them. I like the Plano boxes, and I usually buy some 3700 thin boxes, so I can get more boxes in the box,
Just got a Plano 732 and I love it. Very large but holds all your stuff and seems very well made. Walmart on line has them for $39 and it is well worth it considering it is $55 at Amazon. Look it up see if you like it.
I also bought the Plano bag at Walmart on sale for $30. Best investment I ever made for my fishing needs. I’ve emptied my hard boxes and now use only 2 bags depending where I’m fishing.
I have been using the medium size bag that's made by KastKing. Quality build, lots of storage space, and it doesn't come with boxes. I put 6 or 7, 3700 edge series boxes in the main compartment, and 4 3600 sized in the outside pockets. Megabass makes a cool backpack design that you can rotate to your front for easy access. I saw that on thehookuptackle.com page.
