Well I finally got around to sorting out my soft plastics
OMG I have 329 packs of plastics!!! DO NOT tell my wife this is a lot.
Ok they were always sorted by type in original packages and put in gallon zip bags
I sorted out roughly half with representation of various colors. Again put these in gallon bags
The small totes , I loaded with these bags and listed the contents of each tote on the lid. These will go with me on the boat
The rest I put in the large tote.
This is the “mother ship” . I’ll restock out of this or draw certain baits to stock up for a trip.
Now if everything fits in the boat storage locker. I’m set
I imagine you have to sneak out to the mail box before your wife knows with lots of Amazon mailing envelopes waiting for you. Trouble is when the credit card statement comes in you in trouble.

Are you speaking from experience Hemihappy?
Hook em and EAT em.
You got that right only I can't seem to beat her to the credit card bill. Then I'm caught.
Good plan! .....I make my own soft plastics. It’s been my experience over the years that green pumpkin colored baits will work in just about any situation. So I usually just have 2 colors I make. The green pumpkin and black. So I really don’t have a color sorting issue. The colors I use when I make my lures don’t bleed so I don’t have to sort. I usually bring floating and no floating plastics. So that’s something I sort out. All said and done, I can get all I need for a 3 day trip in a gallon bag, no problem. The advantage using the bag is it will fit just about anywhere, no hard sided containers to try to make fit.My 2cents.

I probably have over 200+ myself. Yep, just play dumb and don't tell the wife.
Chuck56,
Do you accept torn plastics for recycling and making your own?
I am afraid to count....My problem is i never get rid of any of them even if I never use them..When the labels say Sears and K mart that's bad!

I’m sorry that you have to live under those conditions....

Does anyone else have this problem? I buy a lot of plastics in colors that I'll try once and never use them again! Just taking up space. If you had to pick 5 colors in plastic worms what would you pick? For me
Greenpumpkin
Purple
Watermellon Redflake
Watermellon Orange Brown Red
Dark Green w/Chart tail
Dang I forgot Oxblood. It needs to go on that list and I honestly can't pick one to remove! Lol
Green pumpkin is favorite in a lot of baits esp senkos
Black seems to produce biggest
Dream shots I like KVD magic and solid chartreuse
TRD I like The Deal
Big TRD goby Bryant
Craws blue black
Swimbaits Ayu
Brush hogs summer craw and black sapphire
Then you get into different flake colors
You have 30 different bait types and 5 or 6 colors ... then you have multiple packs of each color.
Scented, salted, floating , laminate colors...
They tend to add up .
