I use several different St. Croix rods, many with Pflueger reeds. Been a very good combo, Clients seem to like them. I have Eyecons, Avid rods and bass-x for walleye fishing.

Great combo, I feel Pfleuger reels are highly underrated as well as the St.Croix premier. I use that same combo for trout and can feel when a small split shot rolls over rocks. Sure there’s rods that are more sensitive but it’s good enough for me and both rod and reel have been flawless for many years.

Nice combo! Pflueger reels, especially the President Series are truly underrated, but popular. They aren't as popular as some Daiwa and Shimano Reels, but work just as well, if not better, in some cases. I have 5 Pflueger Presidents of various sizes paired with some G. Loomis rods, especially for trout and panfish.
